Advice regarding a Dell XPS M1330

I dropped my dell the other day. Since the drop, my battery won't charge and the performance of my laptop has dropped A LOT!

The laptop still runs off the mains without the battery, so im guessing its something to do with the battery or the connection? Would this affect the performance?

Is there a simple fix for this or is it a case of getting an engineer to look at it?

Any advice would be appreciated!

The two are usually seperate problems - but since they both occured after dropping your laptop, then your best bet is to send it back to Dell customer service.
