Soundblaster 24bit Problems

I have the Soundblaster 24bit USB sound card, recently it has stopped working. Usually, when it does this I only have to restart the computer (irritating in itself), but even this is not seeming to work.

I have already tried reinstalling drivers.

Have you checked that it isn't the speakers that they're plugged into?
