Question Help me choose it

Hi guys,

I live in Manchester and recently got in touch with a local computer repairs company called Help Me Fix It, after the kids managed to get viruses on both the family pc and laptop:-(

I rang the company, who fixed my computer remotely online for free (the first call is free). However, their pc repair technician told me that I would either have to pay £40 or purchase a home computer repair package to get my laptop fixed.

They have 3 different computer repair packages and I don’t know whether these are worth purchasing and if so, which one is the most value for money.

Could any of you techie guys advise me on what to do please? helpmefixit.co.uk
Thanks in advance!

No need to send in a technical cowboy. Most anti-malware programs by todays standard remove them, and it wud to kno' the name of the infections but in my opinion you wudn't need 1 in that case.

PM me.

Techno-Sonic is right - `you don't need to pay, and its better fixing yourself incase it happens again instead of paying again in future.

If you still have this issue just make sure that you have anti-virus software installed and that it is up to date. If you are unsure about your antivirus software or don't want to pay for one then download the popular AVG Antivirus - AVG have a free version and I have been using it for years without issue.

AVG Free can be found by going to free.avg.com/gb-en/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition or just search google.

AVG has many tools to help prevent viruses/malware/spyware etc.

If it cannot heal/fix the virus then it should at least flag it up and tell you whats its called - You can then let us know of research the virus on google for a fix (usually a bit of software to install to remedy).

Hope this helps,

I don't advise you to pay anything to them. All that you can do is to take the help of a local fixer and get it done in front of u.
