5.1 or 7.1?

Default 5.1 or 7.1?

i wanna buy cool speakers but do i buy 5.1 or 7.1? whats the difference? id want better quality speakers than just more

5.1 will give you 5 speakers (2 front, 2 back, 1 centre) and a subwoofer. 7.1 will also give you 2 side speakers.

You wont really notice the difference between 5.1 and 7.1 unless you have super hearing. It is much better to spend the extra money and get decent 5.1 speakers than get rubbish 7.1.

An issue is that there is no point buying a £50 sound card to use £500 speakers or vice-versa. So buy speakers to match your system!

I'll get 5.1, it seems the best and especially since most dvds only come with 5.1 anyway

Good plan, spend the money on a decent 5.1 system.
