Default MSN on Windows Mobile 5.0

I have the Orange M3100 SPV smartphone. The SPVs used to come with MSN messenger installed, but they don't anymore. Now, microsoft are charging for it!! How can I download it for free?

    I'm running, Windows Mobile 5.1

There are 2 solutions, the first is to try a programme called 'agile'. This used to be a free messenger, (the beta still is) and it allows you to use yahoo and aim as well.

The other option is to use a copy of MSN Messenger for PocketPC 2002, install that and then update it to Pocket PC version 2003. Both the installation and update were free at the time, and the upgraded version is compatible with WM5. The catch, is that this will not work under Vista.

In order to install, you need to install via MS Activesync which works under XP and 2000, but Vista uses its own programme called 'windows mobile center' (or centre, depending on which country you're from!!).

The first download (below) is in .rar format, extract and run the setup file. The 2nd download is in .zip format. Ditto extract and setup.
