netgear to talktalk

Just bought a netgear dg834g v4 wireless router to add a new laptop to the internet via my talktalk internet.
When installing via the netgear cd it will not recognise anything I put in at the 'admin - password' stage.
Anybody any idea what I'm doing wrong?

So it keeps thinking that you're entering the wrong username and password?

The default should be

username 'admin'
password 'password' (without the quotes).

If its still not letting you in that means that the defaults have been changed. On the back or underside there should be a very small reset button which you'll need a paperclip to press. That should restore default settings.

Did talktalk supply the router? If so, try your talktalk username and password.
