    Default Nameserver not in registry

Hi, I didn't know which to place this in, so I put in general.

I use 123-reg.co.uk to register domain names. I use CPanel/WHM to manage my server at home and there are 2 nameservers on it. When changing .co.uk domains to point to these nameservers, then there are no problems. But, when I try to point a .com to them, then it says

"ns2.mydomain.co.uk does not exist in the registry"

I have searched the internet and cannot find an adequate response - even 123-reg support didn't return my e-mail!

    Any ideas?

Chances are, it means that the nameservers have not been registered properly.

If they do not provide this service from the control panel, then my advice would be to phone them.

In the end, your advise was probably best. I phoned up. At 10p/min they answered after 7 minutes!!

They sorted it out there and then - the domains weren't registered properly. Apparently it sometimes happens that the automated option on the site doesn't work 100%.

    Cheers gatto
