Wireless NAS and Print Server

I have bought the Edimax PS2207SUg...

and i am struggling to get my laptop to see the server even when i have done a full system restore and uninstalled all my anti-virus and firewall software (dangerous i know).

Windows itself shows its connected to an unidentified network but the software that comes with it to configure it cannot.

From what i can gather i have to attach it via the ethernet cable first to be able to set up wireless access.

Please Help, please post any ideas ill try them all!

I take it that the unidentified network is when you have plugged it in with the ethernet cable? What firewall software are you using?

Do you have a network router? Have you tried plugging into that?

First step is to try ping your server! Than both laptop and server firewalls have to be correctly configured. Third check your workgroup. What operating systems do you have?

I think you must try using it with a network router.
