    Unhappy Speaker drivers are corrupted.

Hi, I have a Dell Optiplex 270 computer with Windows XP

I am trying fix my audio drivers. My PC should be running Soundmax, but in my device manager I have 2 drivers of Soundmax, one of which disabled in an attempt to stop conflicts. They both have exclamation marks and there's some sound drivers I know shouldn't be there, but don't know why they're there. :S

reading other forums like this I'm guessing I have a trojan or a worm virus. I've never had this problem .The other sound max driver and some of the drivers won't uninstall but I when I try they keep installing.

What happens when you right-click and uninstall both of them? Do they disappear?

Either way, it sounds like you need a fresh copy of them.

    Goto: http://support.dell.com/support/down...n&catid=&impid

Download the drivers. After uninstalling the old drivers, click to search for new hardware. When prompted, select to install from a specific location - wherever you downloaded the new drivers to.

    Does this work?

Talking That never did work, it works fine now

Funny enough about 10 minutes after you posted I unplugged my speakers and rebooted then almost by magic my volume mixer and my speaker are working through my inner speakers which I'm happy with. Good thing I planned ahead in that dept.

Thanks all the same. (I dont understand how that happened tho'. lol).

If you don't have any idea then why don't you get it checked?
