email attachments

I used to be able to add attachments to my emails, photo's jpeg format, and now for some reason they don't upload on to the email. [hotmail]
I've tried another account with google gmail and athough I get the photo's to upload when I click on send an error report #008 is returned and the email is not sent. anyone got any ideas why?. emails with a word file work so can't understand why photo's are being rejected I've checked and the sizes were 95 kb 110 kb and 115 kb are they too large?

My advice would be to zip the jpegs and send them that way. Most e-mail systems tend to filter out image files as they can be hijacked to carry trojans/spyware.
