Default 1TB external vs internal HD

    Hello

I seem to be in a bit of trouble. I was gifted with a 1TB external HD which is working beautifully. I got myself a 1TB internal drive, plugged it in and it hasn't work properly since.
It is a Seagate, I've checked the website and was informed to update Windows XP and my BIOS, both of which I've done, still no luck.
The problem is that it's only showing up as a 127GB drive. All I seem to find as a solution for this problem is to update everything.

    System:
    Windows XP Pro
    Version 2002
    SP3

    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual
    Core Processor 4200+
    2.21GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM

Are you sure you're running SP3? That used to be a problem with XP before SP1, but was fixed in the sp release.

Early versions of XP did not support large drives 137gb but if you are running SP 2/3 your OS should see it (check you have SP3 disconnect the Drive boot the PC then close it down reconnect the Drive and boot up ... XP SP3 should see the Drive, also check in BIOS, if your still seeing 127gb post back.
