no sound on acer arcade deluxe

hi
i have an acer aspire x3300 and it is playing music and sounds on windows media player but it will not play anything on acer arcade deluxe, i can watch the dvds but no sound. i have tried reinstalling arcade deluxe and configuring the speakers but nothing works. has anyone got any ideas? please.

I think thee must be a prob with your acer arcade deluxe. I Would advice you to get it checked.

Which version of Windows are you using?

Vista onwards allow for different volume settings for different programs.

When the program is active, right-click on the volume control by the computer clock and select 'Open Volume Mixer'. Scroll across in the new window until you come across the relevant program and check the volume settings there.
