XP To Vista
is the upgrade from xp to vista worth it? is there anything that i can do in vista that i can't do in xp or vice versa?

Upgrading your pc is not worth it. However, if you're buying a new computer, you may as well go for the latest technology. Vista is annoying at times, but it is also a lot more secure than XP. People complain about MS making it difficult to get around copyrights, well if you're not doing anything illegal, then this wont matter. If you are, well there are plenty of tools out on the internet to do pretty much what you want.

Like any Windows upgrade, it takes getting used to. When I bought my last computer, it came with Vista preloaded. Having used it now for 4 months I can honestly say that I do prefer it do XP.
The initial irritations such as setting up network connections soon go once you work it out. After a while you can't think why you didn't suss it out in the first place becasue it is so much more user friendly.
Overall, it is easier for a novice to use than an expert since in xp you're used to doing certain things to fix errors. But vista is a lot more intuitive once you unlearn all the bad habits!
