I'm buying a new dvd writer for my computer. Some seem to offer 'lightscribe' and some don't. What is this?
Thanks you
Lightscribe is the term used to 'burn' the label onto the back of the disk. This is rather than using a sticky label or otherwise.
The back of special 'lightscribe' disks has a special coating which allows this to happen.
Is it worth it?
If you burn a lot of discs, then yes. Is a lot easier than using sticky labels. But, I tend to just use a permanent marker pen.
You're probably right gatto. I don't plan on starting a massive pirate empire anytime soon anyway!
